Franklin Method Educators & Trainers

Born to move, Iddy began her life happily bouncing in a springy chair and energetically dancing off the couches of her parents’ living room. Many years later, Iddy discovered the wonders of Pilates while studying dance at Saint Mary’s college. Continuing her Pilates training, Iddy studied Pilates Mat with Integrated Teacher Training (ITT) and equipment training with Tom McCook through Physical Mind Institute.

Iddy continues to grow her library of expertise with continued studies in Pilates, human anatomy, massage, Alexander Technique, The Franklin Method, yoga, Gyrotonic, Feldenkrais, dance, TRX, trampoline, swimming, surfing, functional movement patterns, tabata, muscle confusion, and total body fitness. She has studied with many teachers and mentors along her journey ~ Jessica Adams, Tom McCook, Deborah Marcus, Liz Donahue, Nicole Dessoye, Francis White, Carol LeMaitre, Sharon Gallagher, Morten Dithmer, Shannon McMurchy, Kathy VanPatten, Cindy Buff, Nora St. John, Elizabeth Larkam, Dana Lawton, Janice Garret, and Christine Cali to name a few.

Iddy is certified in Pilates Mat from Integrated Teacher Training, in Pilates equipment through Physical Mind Institute, and completed the Teacher Training program at Pilates Education Lab. Iddy is also certified in Level 1 Gyrotonic, and Level 1 Franklin Method. In Addition to teaching Pilates, Iddy combines her many interests teaching Gyrotonic, The Franklin Method, Dance for the Rhythm & Motion dance program, and GIT Fit at The Corner Studio in San Francisco. Iddy also has an extensive background teaching children swimming, dance and physical education.

Enthusiastically, Iddy shares with her clients the pure joy of movement, while also finding whole body wellness and boosting self confidence. Known for her warm, passionately intense personality, Iddy combines athleticism and fluidity, to form an integrated approach to teaching that results in freedom and precision of movement. Her classes have been described as “challenging and delightful”.

Holly’s movement teaching spans over 25 years with people of all ages and abilities. She is a lifetime learner in all things movement related.

Several artist-in-residence and teaching posts around the US including Chicago’s Columbia College, Theater Artaud in San Francisco, and Chicago’s Second City
Designed and taught a credited course at the University of Anchorage entitled “Integrating Intellectual and Physical Creativity Across the Curriculum.”
