Rie FranklinFranklin Method Educator Level 3
Rie began dancing at the University of Houston, Texas, where she was instantly drawn to the physical and mental challenges of modern dance. She sought to cultivate moments where one feels the joy of inhabiting one’s body. After earning her BFA in Dance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University, she performed with Cathy Paine and Mixed Media and Steve’s House Dance Collective. Her workshops and choreography have been presented through Steve’s House, the University of Richmond, College of Lake County, Christopher Newport University, as well as local dance studios.
For the last 18 years she has been actively teaching a variety of movement forms in every setting imaginable, including: The above mentioned Universities and Colleges, The Richmond Ballet, The Richmond Dance Center, Swift Creek Academy of the Performing Arts, Area Public and Private Schools, Yoga Source, Journey Home Yoga, Coreworks Fitness Studio, The Chesterfield County Seniors Center, her home studio, 2 fields and one parking lot. Students from ages two through adult have enjoyed her informative and fun teaching style.
Rie is a certified and registered yoga instructor and offers continuing education workshops to yoga teachers. She was in the first US class to achieve a Level 3 Teachers Training Certification of the Franklin Method®. In August of 2012 Rie joined the adjunct faculty at University of Richmond teaching Franklin Method® in the Kinetics for Dancers course for dance majors. Rie is a NCBTMB (National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) approved provider of continuing education for licensed massage therapists and bodywork practitioners. Master Cass Overton granted Rie permission to teach the Tai Chi 5 Elements Form. Currently Rie lives in Richmond, Virginia, where you will find her teaching Franklin Method®, yoga and Tai Chi workshops to a variety of audiences throughout Maryland, North Carolina, D.C. and Virginia.

Trey FryFranklin Method Educator Level 1, reg. 02/2016 Teach of Pilates, GYROTONIC, and Yoga. Reiki Master
Trey began studying Pilates and yoga as a teenager, and was exposed to those methods through modern dance and ballet. He was certified by Colleen Glenn and has been teaching since 2003. Colleen is a protege of Romana Kryzanowska (heir to Mr. Pilates method), co-founder of The Pilates Method Alliance and was heralded as one of America’s top 55 trainers in Vogue magazine. He studied with Michael Miller from 2002-2009, and early on in his teaching career he became intrigued with how Wendy LeBlanc-Arbuckle was teaching the Pilates method after she helped him rehabilitate a back injury, and audited her 600 hour 3-Core Connections teacher training program at the Pilates Center of Austin. He was mentored by her from 2005-2008. While in Austin, he had the opportunity to study with Mary Bowen, a direct student of Mr. Pilates on her yearly visits to The Pilates Center of Austin.
Since 2009 he has studied with and been mentored by Debby Orlando, a licensed teacher trainer for The Pilates Center of Boulder and level III Franklin Method Educator. During this time, he completed The Pilates Center’s Advanced Teacher Training, the most comprehensive, intensive, and respected program of it’s kind in the world, referred to as the “Harvard” of Pilates schools comprised of 950 formal hours of study.
Trey is a Level I Franklin Method Educator, and trained directly with Eric Franklin and Morten Dithmer.
Trey is a GYROTONIC® Expansion System apprentice, and did his primary teacher training with Davi Edelbeck.
In the fall of 2012 he completed his 200 hour Yoga teacher training through Core Essence Yoga.
Trey is a Reiki Master in the Usui lineage, and brings this energetic component into his teaching.
